PSHE

Our personal, social, health and economic education (PSHE) curriculum gives children the fundamental building blocks for our children to love their lives healthily, responsibly, and safely. Our children will learn to make safe and informed decisions about their wellbeing, health and relationships while also developing resilience to face the challenges of our ever-changing world. Aligned with the statutory requirements of the relationships and health education (RSE), active discussion and problem-solving real-life situations in a safe environment play a vital role in our lessons to deepen understanding and explore ideas reflecting on pupils’ own experiences. Education at Heathfield aims to give all children, regardless of their background, access to the knowledge and life skills needed to thrive as individuals, achieve their goals and equip them for the world of work. PSHE prepares our children for the future by giving pupils the opportunity to develop and demonstrate skills in critical thinking, build confidence, create positive relationships and how to lead healthy, safe lifestyles to become respected individuals, motivated learners and active citizens.
