Personal, social, health and economic education (PSHE) promotes pupils' personal social and emotional development, as well as their health and well-being. It helps to give children the knowledge and skills they need to lead confident, healthy and independent lives.
We have a programme of Relationships & Sex Education (statutory in September 2019) which starts in reception and is developed through to Y6. In addition, children's questions are dealt with honestly and thoughtfully, taking into account the age and maturity of the individual. In upper Key Stage 2 the topic of puberty is covered. The School Nurse is involved in the delivery of these sessions. If you would like further information about this, including your right to withdraw your child from these sessions, please ask at school.
