In Early Years we learn all aspects of the curriculum in fun and exciting ways. We base our learning around different topics each half term. This year we will be learning about the following topics:


 Autumn 1- all about me, tuning in to sounds, nursery rhymes

Autumn 2- bonfire night, friendships, autumn, zoo animals, Christmas

Spring 1- winter, arctic animals, pirates

Spring 2- life cycle of a chick, farm animals, spring, Easter

Summer 1- the jungle, Little Red Hen, food

Summer 2-  pets, the 3 Billy goats gruff, summer, at the seaside



Autumn 1- space, traditional tales

Autumn 2- bonfire night, under the sea, Christmas

Spring 1- superheroes, people who help us

Spring 2- growing

Summer 1- dinosaurs, making the right choices

Summer 2- minibeasts, journeys

Mrs Wards Christmas Parent Party

Mrs Ward and the children invited parents in to enjoy a Christmas party to celebrate nursery completing their first term.

Rhyme Time

Children loved their visit from Darlington Library, Suzy did a fantastic rhyme time with us, singing songs and listening to stories.

Dough Disco
