Mrs Dawber, our forest school teacher, came to work with us on Wednesday 11th October. She shared a story called Percy the Park Keeper- The Hedgehog’s Wings. We looked at the animals in the story and talked about how we could make models of these animals. We went on a walk around the forest area in school and collected lots of natural objects for our creations. Once we returned to the classroom we made our creatures using pine cones, sticks, leaves, helicopters and feathers. After all the hard work we had a hot chocolate and sang songs around a fire. It was lovely to see so many parents joining us too. The children and parents all thoroughly enjoyed the session and we now have a fantastic display of all the wonderful art work in our corridor.
