What is Cluster D

Cluster D began life following funding from the government to develop the extended schools agenda, and the Every Child Matters Document. Our Cluster is the largest in the town with 12 schools. Eastbourne Comp, Hurworth Comp, Hurworth Primary, Firthmoor Primary, St Johns, St Teresas, St Georges, Borough Road Nursery, Dodmire Infant and Nursery, Dodmire Juniors, Bishopton and Redmarshall Primary and of course Heathfield.

Our mission statement is schools working together to ensure excellence and enjoyment for all.

Cluster working has allowed us to pool together resources and expertise. We have been able to buy a mini bus to allow more children access to after school facilities. We have had 2 training days for all of our staff, Speaking and Listening and a very successful day on Improving Boys Writing.

We hope to continue working with our cluster colleagues to develop video conferencing as well as developing after school provision.
